What is SCRIP?  Scrip is a fundraising program. Families are provided with an order form for gift certificates and gift cards.  The order is placed and paid for, and within a week or less, you receive your substitute money. 

Scrip gift certificates are used just like cash. You receive the full face value of the gift certificate, but the store discounts the cost to SCAT.  The SCAT discount on gift certificates varies by merchant, but ranges from 1% – 20%.  And over time, this revenue can really add up for the team.  The money raised will go toward team equipment and supplies, incentives and awards for the swimmers, training for the coaches, etc. The Scrip source SCAT is using is United Scrip out of South Carolina.  Their web address is www.UnitedScrip.com. 

Scrip is effective in that families are making purchases they would make anyway (on groceries, clothing, toys, gifts, and gasoline).  The only difference is that you are making your purchases first through SCAT.

And your percentage raised for SCAT will be recorded and goes toward your family's fundraising account!

How does Scrip work?

To begin, log on to ScripZone.Com - Making Every Purchase Count - User LoginClick on “you need to Register here”.  Fill out the registration information.  ScripZone will immediately email you a password.  You are now ready to begin ordering.

To Place an Order

Log on to www.scripzone.com.  Click on the link “Place an order”.  A screen will appear asking you to enter a group code.  Type in 678521scst and click “Join Group”. Southern Crescent Swim Team will appear.  At the top of the screen click on “My Zone”, then “My Orders”, and then “New Order”.  A new screen will appear asking you to select a group.  A new screen will appear.  Click on the “Select Team” button for SCAT. Now the screen appears that allows you to order.  You will only need to join a group the first time that you order.  You will need to select a team each time you place an order.

          To Order Certificates

Choose the certificate category, profit percent, certificate name, or ID number and click on “Search Certificate”. OR

Search for certificates alphabetically by scrolling to the bottom of the screen.  You will see the letters of the alphabet listed.        Click on the beginning letter of the certificate.  There may be more than one page of certificates per letter of the alphabet.  You will find these page numbers listed under the letters of the alphabet.  For example, to order Burger King, you would click on “B” and then “2”.

After locating the certificate, fill in the quantity to be ordered and check the box “Select to Cart”.  When all certificates needed on the current page are selected, click “Add to Cart”.  The certificates located in your cart will appear and you may choose to “Continue shopping” or “Check Out”.  When the new screen appears, click “Process Order”.  The ordering is complete.

          Receiving the Order

Every Monday before 9:00 a.m., all of the orders placed the previous week will be compiled.  Orders will be delivered on Thursday with all paper orders. Be sure to place your check in the gray box by Tuesday, our account is automatically drafted each Wednesday.  No orders will be released until payment is received.

To Change Your Password

Under the “Home” tab, click on “My Profile”. There is a link that allows you to change your password.  There is another link to change contact information.

Scrip orders will be delivered to your folder at Kedron every Thursday.  Should you need a different day of delivery, please contact Ginger. Please remember that Scrip is the same as cash, so if you can't pick up your order personally, be sure to tell your swimmer to get it that day.
